District Voting makes sure your vote is equal to everyone else's vote. At-Large voting dilutes the votes of lower lower turnout districts.
Representative Democracy based on geographical areas provides the fairest representation for your interests.
At-Large voting was outlawed at the federal level with the Voting Rights Act. Multiple Supreme Court decisions have struck down At-Large Voting.
At-Large Voting hurts Minority Representation. The NCAAP supports district only voting
Citywide or At-Large voting allows certain areas to lose influence over their areas. In Knoxville this historically has meant Districts 1, 3, 5, and 6 have lost influence. District only voting makes it fair.
